What this site stores for a visitor
An ordinary visit places two cookies in your browser and nothing else: one that runs the consent notice you see at the bottom of the page, and one that records the answer you give it.
Neither carries personal data, and neither is shared with anyone. Everything the site is able to store is listed below, so that nothing is hidden behind a general description.

The four sign-in items are written only for someone signing in to the admin area; a visitor never receives them. [hash] and [id] stand for a value filled in per session.
Storage that is not a cookie
Two entries may be written to your browser’s own storage rather than to a cookie. wpEmojiSettingsSupports is a session-storage entry that performs a technical check on how your browser handles emoji; it lasts until you close the tab. surecookie_preferences is a local-storage entry that mirrors the choices you make in the consent notice, so the notice can reflect them instantly. Both hold no personal data and neither is used to recognise you.
What this site does not use
- No analytics or statistics storage. No analytics service runs on this site, so no record of which pages are read leaves it.
- No advertising, marketing or remarketing storage, and no cross-site tracking.
- No third-party cookies. Fonts, images and scripts are served from this site itself, so requesting a page does not pass your IP address to an outside service.
- No embedded social feeds, video players or map widgets that would set storage of their own.
How consent works on this site
A notice sits at the foot of every page the first time you visit, offering three answers of equal weight: Allow all, Allow selection, which opens the categories so you can decide one by one, and Deny. Nothing is pre-ticked and nothing is hidden behind a second screen, and the site stays readable whichever answer you give — the notice is a bar across the bottom of the page, not a wall over it.
Your answer is remembered for a year, and can be changed by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which brings the notice back on your next visit. Because there is no analytics or advertising service on the site, allowing a category gives permission for something that is not yet present; the categories are declared in full so that the position is complete rather than convenient.
Managing storage in your browser
Storage can be inspected, blocked or deleted from your browser’s own settings, normally under a privacy or site-data heading:
- Chrome and Edge — Settings, then Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies and “See all site data and permissions”.
- Firefox — Settings, then Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari — Settings, then Privacy, then Manage Website Data.
Clearing all of it will not affect any part of this site you can read; it only means you cannot stay signed in to the admin area.
